Rotherham United boss Ronnie Moore was celebrating today after being named Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month for November.
Moore's side enjoyed a fantastic November, winning all three of their league fixtures. The Millers kicked-off the month with two impressive back-to-back victories at Port Vale and Torquay United before continuing their fine form with a further three points against Lincoln City. An impressive haul of nine points from the nine available helped Moore's side climb up the league into the automatic promotion places in Coca-Cola League 2.
Also short-listed for the November award were John Sheridan of Chesterfield, Sammy McIlroy of Morecambe and Rochdale's Keith Hill.
Alan Curbishley, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "An impressive nine points from three games in November has lifted Rotherham into the top three. Ronnie has done superbly well to keep the momentum going since his appointment and has kept the club on track for a promotion place."
Chris Hughton of Newcastle United won the award in the Championship and Lee Clark of Huddersfield Town was given the League 1 accolade.
The decision to present the Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month award was made by the Coca-Cola Awards panel. Headed by Alan Curbishley the panel also includes former World Cup referee Jack Taylor, on behalf of The Football League, Olaf Dixon of the League Managers Association and Steve Watts, Marketing Assets Manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
Meanwhile, Morecambe defender Laurence Wilson has been named the Coca-Cola League 2 Player of the Month for November.
