Spireites make key appointment

Chesterfield FC is heralding the dawning of a new era for the football club with the appointment of its first ever conference and banqueting manager.

Local man Gary Cook, who has 20 years experience in the hotel and catering industry, is to develop and manage the new 'state of the art' conference and banqueting venue at the b2net stadium, which is currently being built at Whittington Moor, Chesterfield.

North Derbyshire's new premier conferencing and banqueting venue will have unique panoramic views over the10,600 capacity b2net stadium.

 

It will accommodate weddings, conferences, banquets and parties, as well as, exhibitions and seminars for 5 to 400 delegates or guests.

Gary Cook said: "It gives me great pleasure as a Chesterfield supporter for over three decades to be involved with the club on a professional basis at such an exciting and challenging time."

 

"The b2net stadium is ideally located in the middle of the country with easy access from the M1 motorway, two mainline railway stations, and with three international airports barely an hour away."

Bookings are now being taken from Summer 2010 onwards.
