Chesterfield supporters are literally snapping up half-season tickets since they went on sale earlier this month. Sales for November are already treble the whole of half-season ticket sales for last Christmas and extra season ticket books have now had to be printed to meet the demand.
Chesterfield secretary Alan Walters said: "With guaranteed entry for the historic last match of the season, and priority in selecting a seat at the b2net stadium, they are proving an attractive proposition, especially as Christmas presents."
He added: "The attractive football being played by the team and our current high position in the league are also driving sales."
The Spireites half-season tickets are for the last 12 league games of the season, starting with the local-derby against Rotherham United on Monday 28 December, and are on sale right up until Christmas.
