There was stalemate in the clash of the day at
Dagenham dropped two points at home to Rotherham a late Mark Burchill goal for the Millers saw them earn a point after Paul Benson had opened the scoring for the Daggers. Notts County gained all three points in the Jimmy Sirrell Memorial match dedicated to the fomer County legend who passed away during the week, The Magpies scored twice through Michael Johnson and Richard Butcher after Anthony Charles of Aldershot had given his side the lead.
Gillingham got back to winning ways with a hard fought victory over managerless Port Vale. Although it was a Vale defender who gave the Gills the win a cross from former Spireites Loanee Charlie Daniels forced John McCombe to put through his own net. Vale who sacked Lee Sinnott at the start of last week had the better of the game but slip to a fifth straight defeat. Darlington went down to the new improved Bournemouth, The Cherries got off to a great start through Marvin Bartley, Darlo equalised through Liam Hatch on loan from Peterborough but Bournemouth took the lead through Sammy Igoe before Half Time. Brett Pittman sealed the win in the closing stages of the second half.
Exeter crushed Macclesfield at Moss Rose 4-1, Adam Stansfield (2), Ryan Harley and Matt Gill, Simon Yeo got one in response for the Silkmen. Chester gained a useful point at Luton although it was Town who scored first through Asa Hall, Paul McManus equalised though for City and Kevin Roberts of Chester was sent off for a second yellow late on. Our next visitors Morecambe got a point at Sincil Bank, Lee Frecklington of the Imps opened the scoring though however Craig Stanley bagged one for the Shrimpers on half time.
