ENJOY THE MATCH - new youngster's initiative
With the first home game of the season against Bury this weekend the Spireites have launched a new initiative to ensure youngsters and their families enjoy coming to Saltergate to watch football.
'Enjoy the Match' is a national campaign throughout football which aims to rid football of obscene language and abusive behaviour in and around the family areas of the ground.

Spireites captain Rob Page said: "Because football is a family sport all the players and staff support this campaign and we are asking all supporters to help create a great match atmosphere by doing the same."
In common with all clubs,

This latest campaign also coincides with The FA's new 'Respect' initiative, which this season is introducing changes designed to improve the relationship between players and match officials, including more dialogue between the captain and the referee.
One visible sign of the changes is that The Football League has adopted a team handshake before every game, something that already happens in the Premier League.
'Respect' is part of a long-term commitment by the whole game to rid the sport of negative attitudes and abusive behaviour and improve levels of respect to benefit the game's long-term health.
