VOTE FOR JACK
The voting for the PFA 2UP Fans' Player of the Year awards, across all four divisions of the best league in the world, is well under way - but you only have until midnight on April 10 to register your nomination.
It's certainly going to be a close run thing in the Premier League where a host of top performers are vying to take the title won by 2007 Fans' Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo who, of course, is back in the running again this time around.
Here's a check on the Premiership contenders, and a reminder of what PFA Deputy Chief Executive Mick McGuire had to say about the players who have all won monthly awards this season....
CESC FABREGAS (September)
We have seen consistent improvement from him and by combining Spanish technique, vision and touch with the physical edge you have to have to compete in the Premier League, he has developed into one of the best midfield players in
STEVEN GERRARD (October)
Whether it's for club or country, you can always rely on Steven leading from the front, and he has probably won more games single-handed than any other player with moments of absolute brilliance.
CRISTIANO RONALDO (November, January)
If there is a more in-form world class player then I would love to see him. Ronaldo is, at times, impossible to mark and his quickness of feet and ability to go either way at such pace make him a nightmare for defenders.
RYAN GIGGS (December)
Ryan provides a perfect example of how to prepare yourself, both mentally and physically, to play consistently for one of the biggest club sides in the world on the biggest stage, as he has done for 13 incredible years as an elite player.
EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR (February)
Probably the biggest compliment you can pay him is that, despite the doubts, Arsenal have not missed Thierry Henry as much as people thought. For Emmanuel to replace an icon like Thierry the way he has tells you as much about his temperament as it does about his ability.
FERNANDO TORRES (March)
He combines the qualities of an English-style centre forward showing the ability and willingness to run into channels and behind defenders, finding positions from which he has scored so many wonderful goals, and created a number of others for the likes of Steven Gerrard.
THE CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDERS
Whilst the likes of rising talents Michael Mifsud (Coventry) and Michael Kightly of Wolves have been setting the division alight, it's been great to see a number of 'veteran' performers being recognised for their contributions in what is a very tough and competitive Championship.
Even at the age of 38, Dean Windass is still going strong at this level and
The January winner, Dean is already well into double figures as the Tigers push for promotion, and manager Phil Brown says of his old warhorse: "We are always looking for some quality in the final third and it is normally provided by Dean. He's always in the right place at the right time. He's been doing it for years."
The same could be said of
Diminutive striker Paul Dickov has been round the block a few times too, but he's still doing the business and his loan capture from
In League One, despite having to contend with a 15-point deduction at the start of the season, Leeds United got off to a flyer - thanks in no small part to the striker partnership of Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford.
The dynamic duo have been banging in goals all season and it is to theirs and Leeds' credit that the men from Elland Road are still in the hunt for a play-off place - as are Nottingham Forest for whom Kris Commons has been a consistent performer.
Millwall might not be enjoying the best of seasons, but young, attacking midfielder Jay Simpson has certainly made a big impression at the New Den since arriving on loan from Arsenal; winning the monthly award in November AND March.
We have a double monthly winner in League Two also, with
As was the case in the Championship, where the likes of Windass, Huckerby and Dickov have been showing the youngsters a thing or two,
Tom Williams and Will Antwi have been doing their bit to keep Wycombe in contention for promotion to League One, whilst Stockport's James Smith and
