Last week's game at Dagenham & Redbridge saw Scottish midfielder Derek Niven make his 181st league appearance for Chesterfield, incredibly every one of them a start. That saw him equal 50th on the all time league list for the club along with one Billy Banner who was around 100 years ago.

Assuming he plays today against Shrewsbury Town, he'll move up to equal 49th alongside current Commercial Manager Jim Brown. One more after that and Gary Bellamy & Ken Booker will be equalled whilst if he manages to play in all five remaining league games, he'll be up to equal 42nd with a whole host of greats: Jack Moody, Alf Saxby, Colin Tartt, Chris Perkins and Mark Jules, who all incredibly ended their Saltergate careers with 186 league appearances for the club.
