Tonight's home game against promotion-chasing Hereford United is DEFINITELY ON despite heavy rain earlier in the day.

The Saltergate pitch is in good condition and currently in a better condition than before kick-off for the Spireites last home game last week against Rochdale.

This picture above was taken at 3.00pm and it is not raining in Chesterfield.

Unless there is a sudden cloudburst before kick-off there does not seem to be any problem to stop the game going ahead as scheduled.
