Chesterfield central defender Aaron Downes has swept the board at Saltergate with a full set of Player of the Year awards.
At the Spireites annual presentation dinner, held on Sunday 29 April 2007 at the Sheffield Park Hotel, he received:-

Earlier Aaron had been voted Player of the Year by the Young Spireites and had also received an award for Player of the Year from the Tokyo branch of the Supporters Club.
Player of the Year runner-up was Derek Niven, whose stunning winning goal against Manchester City in the Carling Cup was also adjudged the Spireites Goal of the Season.
