Chesterfield Football Club has been commended by the Football Association for the excellent staging of the England U19 friendly international match against Germany, which took place on Tuesday 8 February 2011.
The game, played in front of a record crowd, ended in a one nil victory for Germany.
Alexis Christofides, the FA's England Teams Operations Coordinator, said "The FA is highly delighted at the success of the event and consider the B2net Stadium a fantastic venue."
"We want to thank Chesterfield FC for their excellent organisation, and the public of North Derbyshire for their wonderful support."

England U19's head coach Noel Blake said: "It was a real pleasure to come to the B2net Stadium and we have nothing but praise for the way that staff of the football club made us so welcome."

With average crowds for England U19 games normally around 4,000 the FA were especially pleased with the high attendance of 9,141 at the B2net Stadium and consider the night a total success.

Sir Dave Richards, chairman of the FA Premier League and vice chairman of the FA, was extremely pleased with everything about the night.He said: "The B2Net Stadium has proved to be an excellent venue for the Under19's match and everyone at the football club should be very proud of what has been achieved"
CFC chief executive Carol Wilby said: "We thoroughly enjoyed being able to support the FA in putting on this international fixture at the B2net Stadium and are very proud of the positive reaction we have received from the football authorities and the public at large."

Chesterfield's mayor, Cllr Keith Morgan, said: "The Spireites new stadium is rapidly becoming the focal point and stimulus for the regeneration of Chesterfield along the A61 corridor; and the overwhelming success of the prestigious England U19 fixture just goes to underline this."
