The founder members of the Spireites new b2net stadium have this week been given a special viewing of the new stadium and have been describing their reaction on seeing the stadium at first hand for the first time.
John Watkins and his wife Susan from Wingerworth (pictured right), who have been supporting Chesterfield since the sixties gave a typical reaction.
John said: "It is truly spectacular and we are just amazed at how good it is." Susan recalled cheering the promotion chasing Blues on to a 4-0 victory over Bradford Park Avenue on the eve of their wedding in April 1970.
Susan said: "We have such fond memories of supporting Chesterfield over the years and now we are going to be able to do it in some style.
She added: "You can sum up the new stadium in one word, wow!"
Meanwhile, Susan's brother David Priestley, and his son Steve from Newbold are long-time supporters who also decided to become founder members.

David said; "The b2net stadium has exceeded our expectations and we can't wait for the first game."
One founder member, who wishes to remain anonymous, burst our crying when she saw the inside of the stadium for the first time, and another said: "It sent a shiver down my spine when I walked into the foyer."

The 300 founder members were also the first supporters to enjoy hospitality in the new conference and banqueting suite and then tried out their seats for size.
