Green hue at the b2net

The fine warm weather has provided the ideal germination conditions for the Spireites new pitch with the 'green hue' beginning to show after just seven days rather than the two weeks originally forecast.

Due to the vagaries of the British weather, the pitch contractors Pugh Lewis only seeded the pitch last weekend after delaying for a week due to the threat from overnight frost during the previous week.

But the above average temperatures and the mini heatwave over the last few days, combined with daily watering from the Spireites new sprinker system, has provided ideal conditions.

The first historic cut of the growing grass is expected in four to five weeks time.
