Chesterfield FC has signed up another sponsor for the b2net stadium, currently being developed at Whittington Moor, with the news that the south stand for home supporters will be known as the 'Karen Child Stand'.

The former National Lottery winner from Clowne, who has generously sponsored the Spireites Kop at Saltergate for the last two seasons, has now signed a long-term deal at the b2net. She is pictured with CFC chairman Barrie Hubbard.

 

Karen Child said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my period of sponsorship at Saltergate so had no hesitation in wanting to continue the connection with my local football club at the new b2net stadium."

 

CFC director of marketing Alan Stevenson said: "We wish to thank Karen Child for her valuable support and long-term commitment by sponsoring the south stand which is exclusively for our home supporters."

Karen Child is the owner of The Village Bar, Clowne, which is a new leisure pub and nightspot  in Clowne with live bands, live sports, family room and function room.
