The development of Chesterfield's new b2net stadium at Whittington Moor has reached another milestone with a special topping out ceremony to mark the completion of all the structural steelwork and concrete terracing.
It means that the large cranes have now moved off site and, after the roofing and cladding of the stands has been completed, the focus will be on making the stadium waterproof before commencement of the internal fitting out.

Despite the recent wet weather, work is ahead of programme.
Another key stage early in the New Year will be the erection of the floodlight pylons, plus levelling and installation of drainage before the laying of the pitch commences on 1 March.
Although one of the last jobs will be the installation of the seats, around 1,000 seats will be installed in the main HTM Stand in the New Year for visiting parties and potential season ticket holders to view.

A visitor centre is due to be operational on site towards the end of February.
GB Building Solutions stadium project director John Currie, pictured above with CFC chairman Barrie Hubbard, said: "I couldn't be more happy about where we are with the building programme at the minute."
"We now have a good basis for next year to get the project finished and get some football played on the pitch."
