Alan Stevenson, who is in charge of marketing the new stadium project, is the man who will now oversee a series of initiatives designed to mark the end of an era at Saltergate, right through to the move to the new ground.

And one of the first up is the chance to buy a brick with your name and personal message on it, which will be built into a special wall at the 10,500 seater stadium at Whittington Moor.

Alan"The timing is just right for this initiative because it will make an ideal Christmas present for Chesterfield fans wanting to secure their name forever at the football club." said Stevenson who has revealed that the bricks will be available on a first come first served basis.

"Fans can put anything on their brick as long as it is not rude or abusive to other football clubs.

"They have got two lines of 14 characters."

People can buy the bricks, priced at £39.99, for a host of reasons from marking the birth of a new baby to giving a long lasting and unique gift.

"The wall will be available 24 hours a day for supporters to be able to see it, so it will be a wall around each corner of the ground in blocks of 273 starting with the most prominent South West corner." said Stevenson.
