The Chesterfield FC Girls Centre of Excellence has been renamed The Derbyshire and Chesterfield FC Centre of Excellence for Girls

The Girls elite centre which has operated from Chesterfield since its formation in 1997 is keen to provide opportunities for players throughout the County and now delivers training sessions on Mondays Ilkeston as well as Thursday evenings at its traditional base in Chesterfield.

Centre Manager Stewart Rowley, who was keen to make it clear that the Centre is keen to provide opportunities for players throughout the County, said: " It was a brave decision to move one night a week to Ilkeston as it is a long trip for our players north of the county, however, moving to Ilkeston allows the  Centre  to become attractive and accessible for talented players throughout the whole of Derbyshire."

Stewart Rowley added: "We would like to create awareness of what we can provide for Girls playing in the city and central areas and wish to make it clear that we are the only licensed Girls centre in Derbyshire and are always looking to recruit players who have the talent to play at a higher level"

To celebrate the new name the Centre with the help of their players have designed a new logo which features the Derbyshire and Chesterfield FC partnerships.
