John told Player "I think we deserved to win and we had some excellent chances and possibly should have scored more goals. I think with the two lads up front and with Deano and Drew we had lots of pace and energy about us. I pleased for Jordan and Deano that they scored but Drew and Craig probably deserved something for their efforts."

On the impressive Jordan Bowery John commented "Jordan's  a young kid and still a baby really and just turned nineteen. I honestly don't think he's ready yet for the first team yet. But he's improving and if he continues to listen and learn he will be a player. He's on a two year contract which means nothing other than that I have faith in him and it's up to him now to progress and develop.

John was also pleased with Dwayne Mattis playing in the back four and concluded "Dwayne Mattis looked very comfortable  and composed at the back and it's just the way he plays it as  simple as possible .So am I pleased with the players efforts and pleased for the fans in a tough game and we want to do well in this competition. I want the players to want to win football matches no matter who you play because there's no better feeling than winning."
