John told Player "Hereford have got off to a good start and they are strong and organised and I am sure they believe they can have a good season. They are a big side and will be a threat at set plays, so we will have to be on our guard. But we are the home team and we will be trying to the game to them and cause them problems.

On the team news John continued "I am looking at who's fit and available. Rob Page has had an injection in his achilles this week so he's resting and hopefully he will return to training next week.  Ian Morris trained today and Dean Morgan's trained all week. He's a little behind but he's looked okay in training and I am very pleased with him.  Both will improve the squad from last weekend. The two young lads who came on last week also did well. Scot's got a habit of coming on and doing well what he needs to do is to do that for longer periods and force his way into the side. Both know that if I feel they are doing well enough and performing, I am not frightened to put them into the squad.

On the season so far John added "The first week was difficult, with three tough games and we are getting used to the pitch here which I think might have affected us last weekend, where I thought several players looked tired. But I am pleased with the four points so far. But I think our performances can be a lot better. There's been a good atmosphere so far here and hopefully the supporters will stay behind us, because we need their support to help us to go to where we want to go.
