Spireites manager John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player ahead of Saturdays trip to Burslam and Vale Park.
John told player "It will be a tough game they have got off to an excellent start and are one of the fancied teams in the division. They play as team with no real star names but the two Richards up front are a big threat if you let them dictate. We won their last year so we have to be positive after our own good start and if we take the second half performance from midweek we will have the chance of winning the game."
Moving on John brought Player up to date with the team news an also his take on the modern day footballer
John continued "Ian Morris is still tender so we will see how he is and obviously if he's fit he would be a welcome addition to the squad. Jordan Bowery is back in training but Rob Page is struggling for tomorrow with a sore Achilles he's had it for three or four weeks. Obviously Craig Davies is suspended and he really looking forward to play against his former club.I have made a few enquiries and offers about a couple of players and am awaiting decisions on them and you will be the first to know when we do actually sign someone".
When asked about possible Premiership loanees John responded "They seem to be a different breed of footballer in the modern game. In my day if you weren't in the team you would be banging on the managers door to try to get first team football. I don't really understand the modern players who seem content not to play first team football especially if you are a twenty year old player at a Premiership club"
