John told Player"Obviously the fans will have fond memories of playing Middlesbrough in the FA Cup. But this is a different game and we will be trying to get a result. It's a game against one of the best teams in the Championship and they are clear favourites.  They have a very strong squad and are trying to get out of the Championship and it will be a tough game. I was at Leeds when Gordon joined Leeds and he was a world class player and he's gone on to be a very good manager. Of course I would like to get one over on him, and hopefully I will pick the right team to get the right result. The cameras are here and we have to go out and put on a good display and hopefully get through the tie."

Team news and on a possible appeal against Craig Davies's sending off against Barnet

John told Player "One or two have players like Ian Morris have knocks which will be assessed tomorrow. On Craig Davies John continued "At the time I thought it looked worse than it was but after seeing it again and looking at the replays and pictures, I think we may have a very good case to try and appeal. If anything the Barnet lad seems to have gone over the top and Craig made a genuine attempt to play the ball. We really don't want to lose Craig for three games because he's a big player for us so we will try and make the right decision. We are still reflecting and haven't yet finally decided to appeal or not because we don't want any suspension extending further if an appeal went against us.
