John Sheridan faced the Spireites Player cameras following the first ever league win at the b2net Stadium. John commented on the conclusion of the game.

"Most important thing is we got the three points, we showed good stuff in patches. The first game is always a funny one but we got the three points. The goal we gave away was a poor one and then we had some edgy moments, had a man sent off they had some bright moments and we held on. We gave them some problems after they started well, I felt the grass was too long I'll have a word with the groundsman about that but they (the players) need to listen and not switch off. Drew and Craig caused them problems but other sides will make it difficult for us as it's a big pitch."

John talked about the sides in League 2.

"Its an even matched league, Barnet got off to a very good start last year, Mark (Stimson) brought a lot of players in but if we can win as many games as possible we'll be right up there. Last season we struggled to get goals from other areas hopefully Dwayne can get some, Drew and Danny.

"I felt we should have taken the game at 2-0 and gone on to get more goals, sometimes the players need to listen and I keep saying that, playing the wrong ball at the wrong time but if they listen hopefully we'll be ok."

John on the Craig Davies sending off.

"Craigs momentum took him onto the player, I think everyone could see him coming, I don't think he's clever enough to be malicious. He's not that type of player. I've seen Steve Kabba and he's up and walking about."

John on the b2net.

"Everythings new here, different surroundings different atmosphere but the most important thing I've got to do is win football matches and everything takes care of itself."

In conclusion.

"I don't think we've played great today we played well in patches but we got the three points and we'll look forward to Tuesday night. That will be a tough game but it's a game we believe we can win against the Championship favourites"

John on Ian Morris.

"Ian will be ok we had him checked out and it was just precautionary really".
