John told Player "Training's been going really well and the important thing is to get the players fit without picking up any injuries. We have a full time training base this season at Warminster Road I think its important that the player socialise more with each I think that could have been a problem last season with players shooting off after training and not really mixing with each other. So now we will be eating with each other and the pitches are fine."

John then updated Spireites Player about his new recruits."Hopefully I have brought in better quality. I would like to bring in two more players and we will be without Jamie Lowry, Robbo, and Downsey for the start of the season and though they are progressing well, but we don't know when they will be back. But we want to be strong and in a healthy position when they do come back.

John then spoke briefly about his new recruits

"Simon Ford's played in the Scottish Premier Division for the last six years so he's very experienced and he will give us a bit of pace and he's aggressive and looks very comfortable on the ball"

"Ian Morris who was here on loan last season and can play either at full back or on the left side. What not many people will know he had a niggley knee injury when he was with us but he just wanted play. But he's had a good preseason with Scunthorpe and he looks really well and I am very pleased to have got him.

"Dwayne Mattis and Danny Whitaker have both played at a higher level and are both experienced players who will hopefully add some goals to our midfield. I think we lacked goals from midfield after Jamie Lowry's injury and Donal McDermott's loan finishing. So again they will make us stronger in that department"

"Craig Davies will give us lots and lots of energy and lots and lots of pace and again adds to what we already have with Jack , Jordan Bowery, Scott Boden and Drew Talbot. Jordan Bowery should also be pushing on and wanting to play in the first team. So there's lots of pace, energy and hopefully goals there."

John continued "I still have to work within my budget and I want to bring in another defender and a wideman who can play on the left and right so we are looking around to bring in who we can afford. We will be trying to play good attractive football and we will have the new pitch as big as possible and we will be trying to play exciting and winning football on it."
