John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player after seeing his side fight back from two goals down to share the points against relegation threatened Grimsby Town.
John told Player "I thought first half we played alright first half but I am not happy with the manner of the goals. I said it times many this season that people try and get involved with things that are already being dealt with and the ball broke in a free area and the lads scored the goal. We could have won the game in the end but I can't keep coming out and saying the players showed character to comeback from two nil down because more often than not you want get anything out the game if you are two down."
John commented on Jacks goals and said "Jack did well with Gritten when he came on and we had some good opportunities but Jacks a poacher and he got that half a yard and finished well. But we need to be more solid and I want people to listen to me because sometimes we are very naive. I don't want to sound to bigheaded but I think I know the game better than some of them think they do."
On his team selection John commented "Wade Small got a twinge so we thought it wasn't worth the risk so Scott came in for him as a straight replacement. Jordan Bowry looked sharp in training and I decided to throw him in on the right hand side. He's still learning and did very tonight and was a threat. So I made one or two changes Kev Austin and Danny Hall both did well on Saturday but I went with a team that I thought would win the game and weren't far off in the end."
Looking ahead to Saturday's trip to Moss Lane John concluded "Hopefully we will have one or two players back Drew and Wade for the trip to Macclesfield and we will be going there to try and win the game so that we have taken four points on the road "
