Tommy Wright gave this week's preview on Spireites Player and Tommy told Player about the Spireites Jekyll and Hyde performances of late "In most Leagues players can get tense and some players handle that pressure differently to others . We are certainly very much like Jekyll and Hyde at the moment but there are some strange results about at the moment. We have watched the Barnet game on DVD and in my opinion that was probably the most disappointing performance since I have been at Chesterfield and I thought we were very poor. Hopefully we will have learnt that you can't cruise to wins and you have to work hard and have the mental strength to keep wanting the ball and be ready to battle and show determination and desire to win the match. "
Looking ahead to this weekend's game Tommy continued "Every game is now a cup tie and we have to ready physically and mentally. When we came here the players here weren't good enough they had failed to get promoted twice so we had to bring in our own players and that's proved difficult and we have had to really relay on loan signings to bolster the squad especially after injury's to some key players. It's always a risk with loan players McDermott, Djilali and Dominic Green did well. But overall we are still in a good position but we have to kick on."
Finally Tommy concluded with the Spireites team news and Jack Lester return to match fitness Tommy said "Jacks getting fitter and sharper and hopefully he can use his experience and mental strength to help us push on to the end of season. Mark Allott took a bang and his back went into spasm at Barnet but he trained yesterday and he is available for selection. Simon Whaley still struggling with his knee and we are getting concerned that the swelling not really going down."
