Tommy Wright spoke to Spireites Player ahead of the Spireites first League trip to the Pirelli Stadium in Burton.
Tommy told Player "Both teams had a bad day last weekend and both teams will be wanting to bounce back and hopefully it will be us. It's been a tough week and hopefully the players will have learnt from it. At the end of the day though Port Vale were better than us, they used the ball better, won every tackle and won every header and deserved the win. But we can't do anything about last week and we to put that behind us now. We have to be positive, because we still have a great chance of promotion and we have to get the players back into the right frame of mind to get some pride back.
On Saturday's opposition Tommy added "Burton have changed their side a lot from earlier in the season they have been pushing up the league and threatening to get into the play off's .So it will be a tough game as every game is in this league."
Tommy then spoke about the injuries the sides had to cope with and also about a new recruit Tommy concluded the interview by saying " Sadly Derek Niven will be out for a few weeks. We haven't made excuses this season but we have lost some important players to serious injuries this season. We have lost Jamie Lowry, Gregor Robertson, Aaron Downes and Jack's been out a while. So for a club the size of Chesterfield to lose players like we have is a fact and not an excuse. But it's a long long season and we have to finish the season as best we can and get as many points as possible.
We have now brought in Ishmel Demontagnac from Blackpool we have watched him over a couple of years and again in the reserves for Blackpool this week and he did very well. He's had a few problems off the pitch, but he's a player with undoubted talent and pace and on his day the fans will love him. So he's now got an opportunity to get his career back on track at Chesterfield. So we go into tomorrow game and have to kick last week into touch, stay positive because we are still in a great position and we can go and achieve something this season.
