Mark: We owe them one

Posted on: Tue 21 Sep 2010

Mark Crossley once again was wheeled out to do what could be a lucky seventh Spireites Player pregame interview ahead of the Spireites clash against Aldershot Town.

Mark told Player "We are really pleased with how things are going over the past week with the two wins. Which was exactly what we had to do, if we are going to take that extra step.  I thought at Crewe we showed signs of getting back to playing football like we did earlier in the season. Before the Crewe game you could sense a togetherness and they are playing for each other and willing to put there bodies on the line. There are no new injuries and we have a fully fit squad to choose from bar the longer term injuries everyone aware of"

On Aldershot Mark added "Again I think we owe them one. We completely dominated the game at their place and their keeper was in top form and we should have won the game.  Aldershot are currently in a healthy position and we do owe them one and hopefully we keep the togetherness and get the three points and get that seventh straight win and get that record the fans are talking about on the website. I like to read what the supporters are saying, I think it's important to know what they think. But there are still fourteen games to go so perhaps a few may be getting a bit carried away with promotion talk as yet because there will be twists and turns before the end of the season."
