A pleased John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player after his side claimed a sixth straight win at Gresty Road.

John told Player "I thought we played very well against a good team.  But we came and stopped them playing the way they wanted to play. I thought we passed the ball well at times and put in a very good team performance. One nil is always a good result and Tommy was alert at the end and pulled off a great save from what was the last kick of the game. We have had a bit of luck in games and long may that continue but I think tonight was our best performance of late."

On his starting line up and formation John continued

"I went 4-3-3 to cause them problems and stop them passing the ball around at the back. I thought Dominic Green played very well and he's settling in well and I like what I see in him.  He's got a tremendous first touch and takes care of the ball and he makes it look easy at times."

Drew Talbot grabbed the all important goal and John commented  "Drew's not match fit yet I have thrown him in a bit because he's not trained that much. But you know what you will get from Drew, he probably actually works to hard and sometimes you want him to relax a bit which might improve him as a player. But I am pleased for him that he scored again. "

Looking ahead though the Spireites now face Aldershot at Saltergate on Saturday and Frankie Artus's loan will expire after that game and John was asked about Frankie's Spireite future. John replied

"Unfortunately for Frankie he got sent off at Morecombe and the teams been winning so it's not really worked out for him in terms of games. I have a lot of players and I am leaving some players out that perhaps don't deserve not to be in the team like Derek Niven.  Frankie is here though until Saturday so we will look at things the. But if we keep winning games, it makes it difficult to change the team much.  We have a massive game now on Saturday which could take us into the top three.
