A delighted John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player after seeing his side fight back with a late three goal salvo to snatch all the points against Darlington
John told Player "Obviously at two nil down I didn't really expect to get anything from the game. Darlington were the better team for the first hour and didn't look like a team at the bottom of the league with the way they played. So full credit to Steve Staunton for the first hour they were one of the best teams we have played .But credit to the players they are on a little run and they don't know when they are beaten.
On his team selection and formation John told Player
"I went 3-5-2 because we and picked up two good results at Morecombe and Port Vale but we didn't look comfortable and did pass the ball and weren't at the races. So I changed it to 4-4-2 . I had a little go at them at half-time because I wasn't happy at all at half-time. But they came out and I think we were the better team in the second half. But at the end of the day I think the substitutions made a difference to the team. The first goal gave us a lift and some belief and then there was a great strike from Drew who hit a wonder goal. But it's all about getting the three points for Chesterfield.
On the injury front John revealed that Barry Conlon hadn't trained all week "Hopefully Barry Conlon will be fit for Tuesday he's had a virus and not trained all week again that will be a very hard game. "
