Mark: A crucial time in our season
Mark Crossley once again did the Spireites Player pre match preview this time for the Spireites Saltergate clash against Lincoln City
Mark told Player "After a winning preview last week you have to put up with me again this week. We got a fantastic result at Morecombe and I thought we defended superbly. People got there bodies in the way and I thought Tommy Lee was superb. So defensively since Aaron Downes has returned we have seemed to have sorted out the defensive side of things but obviously need to start scoring again now at the other end.
On Lincoln Mark added "Lincoln won't be pleased with their season so far that's for sure. But we see it as a tough game and we owe them one after losing at Lincoln. We had the better of the game and there was a host of missed chances and were punished at the other end without them really creating much. But after a confidence boosting win at Morecombe we are at home and will be taking the initiative from the kick off to get the three points we desperately need."
Mark then spoke about the three new additions to the Spireites squad "All three new signings will be in the squad. We have been working hard to bring the right players in to help us gain promotion. Adam Rundle's looking good in training and he looks a very promising player. Danny Boshell is a very tidy player and he should also add some creativity to our midfield. We have also signed TJ Moncur I know him as a capable footballer when we were both at Fulham but he has alot to prove and he's very keen to well. But there are a lot of contracts up in the summer and now its really down to the players to earn the right to a new one. So its' down to them if they want to be apart of a club that's going places. Obviously we have the new stadium on the horizon and we also hope to have a new training ground next year so there is a lot to look forward to here."
Finally Mark updated Player subscribers on the fitness of Wade Small, Drew Talbot, Alan Goodall and Jack Lester. "Wade Small is back in training this week though he is lacking match fitness he looked very sharp in training yesterday. Drew Talbot's also training again though he did have a bit of a reaction yesterday but he should be okay. Alan Goodall had a reoccurrence of his ankle injury at Morecombe but he should be okay for Saturday. Jack won't be involved on Saturday he's had some more reaction to his knee injury. He will probably have to go have his knee assessed by a specialist and we will know more then. We really want our injured players back ahead of a busy period of football in what is now a crucial time in our season."
