John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player after seeing his side notch up an all to rare away point against Northampton Town.

John told Player "It's very pleasing to keep a clean sheet in a game I don't think we played very well in. So it was a very good battling performance so credit to the players for that against a side that are very awkward to play against. They get the ball forward and are very direct so to get back to back clean sheets for the first time this season means we are doing something right. We have a lot of injuries with seven or eight players who have been regulars  which perhaps showed in our own performance because I thought Northampton were probably the better side and created the better chances. I usually say we played well and got nothing from away games, but today perhaps we deserved to have got beat so its very pleasing to come away with a point."

One player though more than likely played his last game for the Spireites at the Sixfields with loanee Ian Morris will be returning to Scunthorpe this week despite the Spireites trying to keep him

John told Player "I have tried to get him until the end of the season but Scunthorpe are not willing to do that. They only have a small squad and don't want to do that as there will be no recall. So unfortunately we want be able to bring him."

Finally John then looked ahead to Tuesday nights crunch Saltergate game against near neighbours Rotherham United  and John continued " Jack was here today to do a bit of fitness work with us he didn't fail a fitness test or anything. So hopefully for the big game against Rotherham on Tuesday we will have a few more back and be able to field a stronger team. A win against Rotherham would them give us a decent points return from the last few matches."
