John told Player "We have one or two improving and most of the injured players are now jogging. We are picking up a lot of injuries at the moment whether its because of the conditions I am not sure but we do seem to be picking a few at the moment. Smally's had a scan on his knee and that's come back all clear. Jack and Ian Breckin aren't far off and we are hoping Rob Page hamstring is okay for him to face Northampton.

John then updated Player about the arrival on loan of Frankie Artus from Bristol City and a possible longer stay at Saltergate for Ian Morris. John continued

"We have brought Frankie Artus he's young hardworking industrious player and a good passer. He's left footed and he's here for a month I would have liked to have signed him for the season but Bristol wouldn't agree to that. But if he comes in and enjoys it we will look to lengthen his stay.  I am still looking to bring one or two more because we have to ready for the 22 games we have left. I have also talked to Scunthorpe about Ian Morris he's happy here and we would like to keep him, but it's now up to Scunthorpe and what they decide."

Finally looking ahead to the game John commented on Northampton and said

"Northampton have had some very good results of late they are strong organised side and it will be a difficult game. Akinfenwa is a big old unit and he's on a bit of a roll and will make things difficult if we allow to. We have to start picking up more points away from home and we will have to work very hard to get a good result on Saturday ".
