A disappointed John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player after seeing his side slip to another away defeat this time at Lincoln City

John told Player "I'm disappointed because Lincoln are near the bottom of the table and we were fifth and should be confident of coming here and taking the points. I knew it would be a hard game, don't get me wrong. But you must have had this on tape about twenty times about the goals we give away. I thought we started bright enough but we seemed to switch off and we let crosses into our box. I think for both goals they only had one player in the box and the second header was from near the eighteen yard line.

At the end of the day people need to get better and people need to watch their backs because I may make changes and people watching on the bench have to ready because on Monday they might be playing. What was also disappointing today was that we had an eighteen year old in Kieron Djilali  who was the only player who wanted to get us back in the game and dictate things. I have experienced players who have played in the Championship and in higher divisions who didn't do that today and that says a lot about them. I have to make decisions, and sometimes I have to make brave decisions and I will stand by the decisions that I make. I need to sort it out especially away from home because in the end it may cost us."

A Spireites fight back though in the last ten minutes or so seemed to given them an unlikely looking point when Drew Talbot was brought down in the penalty area when through on goal. However Jack Lester missed the spot kick and John deflected questions about the Spireites third missed spot kick in a row by questioning the referees decision not to send off Lincoln's Fulham loanee Adam Watts

"I couldn't believe the player wasn't sent off and it could have got us right back in the game and with about eight minutes or so to go, we would have been in the box seat. Not that I like to see players sent off but he brought down a player in the clear eight yards from goal so that decision was a joke. I asked the referee after the game the same question but he just blanked me."

On the injured players and loan players futures John concluded the interview by saying

"Phil Picken and Derek Niven have struggled with illness this week . I will also sit down after the Rotherham game and discuss what we want to do over the loans of Davide Somma, Mark Little and David Perkins so we have some decisions to make."
