John Sheridan faced the Spireites Player camera ahead of Saturday's Saltergate clash against Cheltenham Town.
John told Player " If we had won our last two games like I think we should have we would have found ourselves in a very healthy position. But we are back at home now and we have to get back to winning games. We played very well against both Aldershot and Crewe but we have lost both games but I don't want to look back and I want to stay positive. I think we are good enough to get out of the division and I have to get that into the player's heads. So we will be taking one game at a time and if we get the right results we will be in a very healthy position again after Christmas.
John then moved on and talked about Cheltenham and the team news which included the news that two players won't be available for the game and he continued
"Cheltenham are a big organised side and have the experience of Barry Hales up front but it's virtually a must win game for us. They will be a handful and are good at set plays but they will have to cope with what we have to throw at them.
We will be missing both Drew Talbot illness and Davide Somma's got a slight hamstring strain. Aaron Downes came through another reserve game and he's not far away now. He's obviously chomping at the bit and want him involved and around the team and he is a welcome addition back into the squad. So we have competition for places and I am not frightened of leaving anyone out of the side because I think I have players who can do a job and stake claims for places."
