A delighted John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player after seeing his side score five again at Saltergate.
John told Player "The most important thing was getting the three points its pleasing to get five goals but I would like a few clean sheets. The conditions were tricky and we managed to keep our home League form going. "
John was full of praise for a hardworking Darlington side and he added
"Steve Staunton's side made life difficult for us and they worked hard and got men behind the ball. I'm sure Steve will get them out of it, but we created lots of opportunities and to score five goals you can't ask for much more. We have people from all over the pitch who can score goals this season and I like us all to be a threat and its a team effort and not about individuals"
Home debutant loanee Kieran Djilali also received praise John added
"I am very pleased with Kieron he was very exciting and positive and deserved his first league goal today."
Two goal Scott Boden also received praise and also a few words of advice
"Scott's still learning the game and I have a lot of time for him because he's got a knack of scoring goals. But Scott's he's got to learn from the likes of Jack and Smally and others who are upfront. If his all round game continues to improve he will then have a shout of start"
Finally John praised Darren Currie's professionalism and wished him well on his loan and perhaps longer move to fellow promotion contenders Dagenham & Redbridge.
"Darren Currie will be going to Dagenham & Redbridge under his previous boss John Still. Daz hasn't had to much football here. Darren's trained really hard and I wish him all the best he's a good pro. Hopefully the loan will work out for him he's still got a house down there and hopefully Dagenham will take over Darren's contract in the New Year."
