John Sheridan spoke to Spireite Player ahead of Saturdays visit to Saltergate of Darlington and John started the interview with his reasoning behind letting Jordan Bowery out on loan and John told Player
"I felt that Jordan needs to get a few games under his belt and it should be a good experience for him. I sent a few young players out when I was Oldham like Chris Taylor and it really benefited them in learning their trade. I have a hard regard for him and if he really wants it he can be a player and he will learn how to look after himself and learn in a tough league. I am hoping that something might happen to get a couple of players out so I can bring in perhaps a couple of players before the loan deadline next week.
Moving on to cover Saturday's match against Darlington John continued
We have to get back to winning ways at home against Darlington and we should have some confidence after last weekend's win at Rochdale. But Darlington have been playing well of late and Steve Staunton brought in a few new faces and they have started to pick up some points. So it will be tough and I know Steve fairly well and if we are not on our game we will get beat.
John concluded the interview with a injury round up and updated Player subscribers about the fitness of Aaron Downes and post operative conditions of Gregor Robertson and Jamie Lowry.
John added Aaron did well on his first real football with the reserves and it's very pleasing that he's back training full time and we have to be wary with him but he needs match practice and hopefully he will stay fit and give me a selection problem. Jamie doing well and he's staying around the squad there's nothing worse than staying at home on your own. Gregor's now at home and he had another X-Ray yesterday I had the same injury myself and came back and had a good career and I am sure Gregor will do the same.
