A pleased John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player after seeing his side maintain its unbeaten home record this time at the expense of a hardworking Barnet side
John told Player "It was a very tough game and they had done there homework and made it very difficult for us. So I am pleased that despite not playing really well we have won the game. But in the second half after Scott Boden came on we got more of a grip on the game. I thought we looked unbalanced until we made the change. Scott's been nice and bright in training and he's a good finisher and he took his chance well.
On Wade Small absence from the squad John added
Wade Smalls hamstrings not 100% he's trained all week and it's just one of those that you have to make sure its right before bringing him back.
Finally of course John the reflected on the loss of the impressive Donal McDermott whose returning to Manchester City after a three month loan spell and John continued
"It's disappointing that Donal's going back to Manchester City. I have tried to keep him and will be trying my hardest to bring him back but that's all in Manchester City's hands."
