Spireites manager John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player ahead of Saturday's game against Barnet. John started the interview by reflecting back on the news of Jamie Lowry's injury and John told player

"It's sad news that Jamie's picked up a bad knee injury in training in a nothing incident really. So I am gutted for him, because he was doing really well and now he will be out until next season. It's upsetting and I have told him other players have had similar injuries and come back stronger so he has to stay positive and come back next season and hopefully he will come back a better player."

John then talked about Barnet and a couple of additions to the squad from last weekend and he added

"Barnet on their day like anyone in this league they can beat anyone. They have a lot of pace in their side and the experience of Paul Furlong up front so they could hurt us if we aren't on the top of our game. Wade Small is added to our squad for Saturday following his injury and we have competition for places with Rob Page also returning after suspension."

Finally John updated Player with news of two loan extensions and one ending and he continued

"I am very pleased we have been able to extend the loans of David Perkins and Mark Little.  Donal McDermott's loan though ends this weekend. He's done well for a nineteen year old and I think he's been getting better game by game and he's been excellent. But never say never and hopefully we might be able to sort something for the future. So will have lost both Jamie and Donal after Saturday and we will miss both of them. But it's all about winning football matches breeding confidence and we need to get a run going because if you go out thinking you are going to win the game before you kick a ball you will become unstuck."
