John Sheridan talked to Spireites Player ahead of Tuesday nights Johnstones Paint Trophy clash against Huddersfield Town
John told Player "Huddersfield are a team I think will do very well in the League One and they will provide a good test for us. It should be a good game we are at home and if we can keep them quite we can cause them a few problems and we will give it our best shot. I watched their first round game at Rotherham and they created lots of chances. So it will be a tough game but we have to be confident of getting the right result with our home form."
John Sheridan's also further strengthened his squad with the addition of Wolves defender Mark Little John told Player that Mark's a player whose career he's been watching for a while and John continued
"I tried to get Mark when I was at Oldham and he's a young player who I actually can't my eye whilst playing against Oldham in a FA Cup game. He's still only 21 and he's very quick and he will add to what we have already have and push people for places."
Finally John was asked about the fitness of Wade Small and John replied
"Wade Small's been in the wars over the last few games so we will have to wait to see if he's fit for the game. His pace and movements been excellent for us and our supporters should know by now I like pace in certain areas and want to play the game at a high tempo. So with Mark Little coming in he will add to that pace and tempo and he will hopefully enjoy his football and we will have to see where that takes us."
