John Sheridan faced the Spireites Player camera ahead of Wednesday nights Saltergate clash against Grimsby Town but John started his interview with a look back to Saturdays defeat against Bradford City

John told Player "The end result on Saturday was very disappointing, but I don't think the score line reflected the game. I watched the game when I got home and I still think we were well in it. We nearly scored immediately before their second goal . I don't want to keep making excuses but individual mistakes are costing us goals away from home. But we have to get it right because I want to get out of the division this season and I have set standards We have watched the video and had a chat and we will be looking to bounce back and get three points against Grimsby."

On Grimsby John added "Grimsby will come here and fight for every point and they have picked up a few points of late and we will have to take the game to them and hopefully get the result we want."

Finally John talked about the Flu virus and frustrations of the loan mark and he continued

"The Flu bug seems to be taking a while to clear so some of the lads are still not right. But I will be putting a team out to win the game. I am still chasing people the player I wanted and we nearly got is now involved with their first team on Saturday. I was chasing a couple of other players yesterday whether I get them in for Grimsby I don't think so, but before they arrive we have to start picking up points and climbing the table."
