John Sheridan is looking ahead to another tough game at Shrewsbury Town's Prostar Stadium
John told Player "We are expecting a very tough game and I have said on a few occasions I expect them to be there or there abouts. Tommy watched them at Dagenham who really got in amongst them and caused the lots of problems and it was three nil after about half an hour."
"Shrewsbury are at home and will want to take the game to us and we have to be prepared for that, but it's a game we will be trying to win. Paul Simpsons been around a while and brought in some new faces and they have some experienced players who have been around the lower leagues. But we will focus on what will be doing."
Moving on John talked about the Spireites solid start to the season
"The most pleasing thing so far for me is the consistency and level of performance. We are creating lots of chances and we should have been three up very easily the other night. We have tightened up a bit at the back and if we can maintain consistent performances we will win more games than we lose. But we only have six points from two games and we have to carry that on over a number of games but importantly we have got off to a decent start and that's the main thing"
John then praised both the vocal support from supporters at both home and away so far this season and continued
I thought the fans were excellent and they were right behind the team again and I know I keep repeating myself our home form will be vital for us this season and if the crowd stay behind us like they have both home and away it will help.
Finally it appears as though John may be close to making another signing and he told Player
"I am trying to bring in another striker. We have young players with potential in Scott Boden and Jordan Bowery but I want to keep people on there toes. Nobody is guaranteed a starting spot in my side. So I want to push everyone to keep on top of their game. So I am after a striker to score goals and I like to have pace in the side and when whoever comes in you will find out who he is."
