"I am very pleased. I have made it clear to the players that our home form will be vital this season.  But to get a clean sheet and win the game is very pleasing. First half I thought we played better than I thought we could play to be honest. We had good movement and created chances and should have scored more goals. Two halves are never the same though and perhaps we took our foot of the peddle abit and they are a big strong side and we invited to much pressure on ourselves as the game wore on.

Drew Talbot appeared to have open the scoring early in the first half but his strike was ruled out and John added

"I am not sure why the referee ruled out Drew's goal but it wasn't to be and Donal again proved he's an exciting player and we are pleased he scored the winning goal. But overall it was team performance and we gave a very very good first half performance and then we got sloppy and had to much pressure to withstand for my liking."

Finally John and the rest of the players are looking forward to Svensday night when the Magpies visit Saltergate and John continued

"Now we focus on Notts County on Wednesday night that will be a tough game. I know a few of their players but I feel it's a game we can win.
