John Sheridan spoke to Spireites Player ahead of Saturdays Saltergate clash with Northampton Town and looked both ahead and briefly back on the season to date
"I have been pleased with way we have played in both games so far and I feel we haven't got what we deserved in either game. We had a right go at Scunthorpe and I thought we matched them and finished strongly."
On the all important team news John continued
"Jacks back from suspension and Gregor Robertson returned to training today so that makes my job very difficult. I have been very pleased by the attitude of all the players and some will be disappointed. But at the end of the day it's my job to pick a side to win us a winning start at home.
I fancy Northampton to be there or there abouts come the end of the season so it will be a tough game. They are strong and well organised so we will have match them physically and then hopefully we can cause them a few problems and score the goals our plays deserved so far."
The August transfer window is getting close and when asked about any possible further transfer activity John said
"I am still looking to strengthen the squad and I feel I still want to bring one or two of my own people in and that may mean a couple go out to balance the budget. But overall I am pleased with what I have got."
Finally John revealed his breakfast preference as Frosties and a cup of tea in a new feature for Spireites Player a lucky dip with random non football related question.
