John was pleased with his new charges and said "The most important thing is the fitness and we had to run around a lot chasing Derby in the first half. The pleasing thing is that the players have given me food for thought they have all come in worked hard and I'm not sure what the best team is yet. We played some good stuff in the second half and created lots of opportunities. The grass was a bit long and we are getting stronger and it was pleasing to win the game against a strong Derby side. John then went on to look forward to the next fixture on Monday against Garforth Town(19.45 kick off at The Genix Healthcare Stadium). "Neale McDermott  been around and come in and trained very hard. We are a bit short of numbers and we will swap things around for Mondays game at Garforth. There probably will be a couple of trialists playing in that one and I have made it clear that I want to bring in three players to strengthen the squad."
