Lee Richardson spoke to Spireites World ahead of Saturday's crunch Saltergate clash against Gillingham. Lee said
"It's obviously going to be a tough game with them five points ahead of us. So the pressures slightly off them and they would settle for a point but we want the three points. Looking at it the Bradford game looks like having a lot on and it looks like it will go right down to the wire. But if can do well against Gillingham and at Accrington then we will give ourselves the best possible chance.
Sure we haven't won in five but those draws have all come in a little over two weeks and it would have been a tall order to keep on winning after the March we had. We have performed well in those games and could have won any of those games. All thats history but the five draws have been enough to get us into the play off spots and I'm sure in January we would take being where we are now."
Moving on to discuss Gillingham and the Spireites walking wounded, Lee continued
"Gillingham have pace down the wings and up front from Barcham, Oli, and Simeon Jackson and they have some decent defenders especially in the shape of King. They are a good side and it will be a tough game.
We are awaiting for the results of Aaron's knee scan on Friday. We are awaiting a report from Wigan on Lewis Montrose but we are confident he will be back training with us shortly. Drew Talbot's back in training but Danny Hall's not trained today but we are hopeful that he will be available for Saturday, along with Lloyd Kerry."
