What's the latest transfer news?

It looks like there will be a couple of probable departures in the next week or so. So I am also looking for replacements for them. I have a player lined up to replace Janos Kovacs who I expect will be leaving and it looks likely that he could be joining Lincoln City with a fee to be settled by a tribunal if there is no agreement between the clubs. If that happens then we wish him well.

We made him a better offer than he was on last season and I think Lincoln may have bettered that and he also probably feels he will have a freer run in terms of playing more games. Most players want to play week in and week out but what they sometimes do not appreciate is that players have to play well and perform well to be a regular.  So he may have also felt that it would have been more of a challenge to be a regular here than at Lincoln.

Another player may also be leaving the club.  I won't name names on that but to avoid any speculation it's not Jamie Ward and it's not Jack Lester. So we may need a replacement for him as well.

Aaron Downes could be missing for a couple of months on international duty for Australia at the Bejing Olympics which would reduce the squad at the start of the season.

I am talking to agents on a daily basis and I'm still looking to bring in a forward and a wide man and also starting to look toward seeing who may be available in the loan market.
