Chesterfield defender Jamie Lowry could be out for the rest of the season after contracting glandular fever.
The Newquay born youngster has been ordered to rest completely for at least four weeks and will then take a couple of months to build his fitness back up to first team levels.
He had been feeling unwell recently but the results of blood tests this week revealed the real cause.

The 19 year old made his debut earlier this season in dramatic fashion in the Carling Cup victory over West Ham United. Due to injuries he then went on to make six first team appearances, all in the first few months of his very first professional contract.
Chesterfield manager Roy McFarland said: "We are really disappointed for Jamie because he has made a real impact on the squad. He recently got the chance for some early first team experience and did a decent job for us in some key matches."
Roy McFarland added: "The important thing now is to ensure Jamie makes a full recovery and, as we do not intend to rush things, it may mean he could be out for the rest of the season."
