Not a lot to report in the treatment room in the past couple of weeks. Mainly its good news as the injured players have been progressing well and getting back to training with the rest of the squad.
Aaron Downes who's has been sidelined since the second game of the season with an ankle injury has been back to the specialist who gave him the good news that the ankle was fully healed. He was able to resume full training with the rest of the 1st team squad. Aaron has been training for about 2 weeks with extra speed and ankle strengthening exercises after training, he completed 60 minutes n a reserve game against Mansfield and was due to play in a full game at Sheffield Wednesday last week but in a cruel bit of luck about 25 minutes into the game he was forced off with a facial injury which required stitching. Aaron resumed training the next day and is still making good progress.
Caleb Folan who has been out with a hamstring injury has progressed very well after his rehab period which involved building up his running programme and introducing ball work. Caleb has this week joined the rest of the squad for full training. He is also doing some extra sprinting and strengthening work for his hamstring and should get another full weeks training next week, then will be looking to get into match action.
And finally Alan O'Hare has now fully recovered from his back injury that kept him out for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately for Alan in training this week he turned his ankle, on initial examination this injury does not look too serious and he should hopefully be about 7 to 10 days until he resumes full training.
