At the moment we have 3 main players to deal with in the treatment room.
Firstly Aaron Downes. Last week Aaron made very good progress from his ankle injury, after an initial period of weights and bike work Aaron progressed to straight line running. This has gone well up to now and hopefully will be upgraded to faster short running next week with some ball work included.
Alex Bailey who had his pot off last week has now started his rehab programme on his knee injury. At the time of writing Alex's rehab is mainly weights, upper body and legs, static bike work and swimming. After his knee was put in pot for 3 weeks the knee was understandably very stiff so Alex's treatment consisted of manipulation along with the rehab programme and the ice treatment. Alex was due to see the specialist yesterday (Friday) to see how well he is progressing.
Finally in the treatment room Janos Kovacs, Janos injured his knee in the game against Tranmere. On the Sunday after the Tranmere game Janos's knee was swollen and very stiff. On initial examination the injury does not look too serious and after initial treatment most of the swelling has gone down. Janos had a good week this week with running, biking and gym work. Hopefully with no reaction to training Janos should be ok to join the rest of the squad for training next week.
