There were no new injury worries after last weekends game against Plymouth so I will give you an update on the longer term injuries.
Caleb Folan has made very good progress over the Christmas period, he is well into his rehab and has got some good running behind him. This week will consist of short running, twisting and turning and some ball work thrown in. I hope if all this goes well Caleb will be able to participate in some training with the first team in the next couple of weeks.
Steve Payne is much the same as Caleb, the long running is behind him and now we are concentrating on getting him fit to join the rest of the squad - hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
Matt O'Halloran's hamstring is coming on well, he is up to about 3/4 pace in his running programme. We are are still taking this slowly as we do not want to re-injure Matt's hamstring.
Finally Mark Smith is still feeling the effects of the ankle injury that he sustained in a reserve match before Christmas. This is slowly getting better and we hope for a good improvement in the next few weeks.
All the best for 2004
Jamie
