Posted on: Sat 31 Dec 2011

Defender Drew Talbot has been given the all-clear after having been x-rayed for a suspected fractured wrist sustained during the Spireites game at Scunthorpe United on New Year's Eve.

The injury occurred during an incident at the end of the first half at Glanford Park, when goalkeeper Tommy Lee collided with Talbot when coming to collect the ball.

Whilst the game continued without him, Drew Talbot was x-rayed at hospital where he was given the all-clear from any broken or fractured bones and he was able to rejoin the team on the coach journey home.

He will now be assessed by Jamie Hewitt on Sunday morning at training with a view to Monday's home game against Oldham Athletic.
